Our club works under FIRST Inspires, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST is a global nonprofit organization that offers robotics programs for students in grades K-12 to inspire innovation and leadership. The programs are designed to help students learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through hands-on challenges that involve coding and engineering. They also develop skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence, and allow students to build relationships with STEM professionals.

It's a way of doing things that encourages high quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. Coopertition means that teams help and cooperate with each other, even as they compete. It's about learning from teammates, teaching others, collaborating with mentors, managing and being managed. Coopertition embodies the spirit of competing while assisting and enabling others whenever possible.
